Civic Engagement

An Invitation to Unite Winnipeg Together

September 3, 2026July 3, 2026 by Christopher Clacio
The Winnipeg sign at the Forks in downtown Winnipeg.

Can you imagine a Winnipeg where civic engagement isn’t just encouraged, it is the foundation of how we govern? This is the Winnipeg I believe in and I believe we can Build it Together.

Can you help Chris with translation?

Chris wants his Mayoral Campaign to live up to his ideals of access for all, and that includes Winnipeggers who have a different first language than English. We are continuously building Chris' Crew of volunteers, and that includes translators!

Reach out through this form to support our translation efforts. Our priorities are French, Tagalog, Punjabi, Mandarin, and Ukrainian to correspond with data released by the Canadian Census.

Labour Solidarity

We honour the generations of workers, labour organizers, unions, international students, newcomers, and those that have long settled here whose contributions and solidarity have built Winnipeg as a city of working people and a place to call home. We commit ourselves to dignity, fairness, and partnership with all who contribute to our city.

Land Blessing

Winnipeg, MB, Treaty 1 (Also known as the Stone Fort Treaty), and National Homeland of the Red River Metis. Treaty 3 (Shoal Lake 40) for our drinking water and Treaty 5 for our electricity. We honour the generations who have cared for these lands and commit ourselves to the ongoing work of reconciliation, respect, and shared responsibility.

Authorized by the official agent.
